Verdin Veterinary Services offers a variety of services for your companion animal. These include general medicine, surgery & dentistry, boarding, and grooming.
Medicine
Our practice is committed to a sound diagnostics and proven medical and surgical therapies. For the convenience of our clients, we offer in-house lab capabilities, and we are proud to be one of the few practices in the Upstate to offer direct digital radiography. This modality provides us with quick, detailed images that aid us in diagnosing and treating your pet promptly and accurately.
Surgery
If your pet is scheduled for surgery, we ask that you leave him/her with us between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. the day of the procedure. Please bring your pet with an empty stomach: no food after 10 pm the night before surgery. We will keep you updated as to your pet’s surgery status. Following surgery, your pet will remain comfortable in our hospital area for observation until the next day.
Boarding
Verdin Veterinary Services provides ample boarding facilities, both for dogs and cats. Kennels are kept clean, conditioned and comfortable. Indoor and outdoor kennels allow us to ensure that all animals stay clean and in good spirits during their stay. An outdoor exercise area provides our guests with a change of scenery several times a day. The “kitty cottage” is quiet and comfortable room for our feline guests. We require that all boarding guests are up-to-date on their routine vaccinations before entering the kennels or cottage.
You may pick up or drop off your pet at the kennel during the following times: Weekdays, 9 a.m.–11:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m.–11 a.m. Since we are closed Sunday, any guests staying with us over the weekend can be picked up Monday morning.
Grooming
Verdin Veterinary Services offers grooming services primarily as a convenience to its clients, but non-clients are welcome as long as documented vaccination history is available. Our groomer takes care of bathing needs and is proficient with many different breeds of dogs. This is a drop-off service (7 a.m.–9 a.m. Mon–Fri). You will receive a personal phone call from the groomer when your animal is ready to be picked up, along with any pertinent information about your pet’s experience.
